Keri's Fairy Godmother Foundation

"I wasn't able to receive a prom dress for my junior prom. I called many people and places to see if they could help me and none of them would.
I was looking through google.com one day and found Keri's Fairy Godmother Foundation website. I called instantly and made an appointment.
When I got there she was Awesome!
She helped me find the perfect dress for the theme (it was 007) I thought it would be hard since I am so small but it worked out!
Now that I have used her services I'm going to help her out!

"At first I wasn't going to go to the senior prom. I think that if I didn't I would seriously regret that today. I have never felt so beautiful in my life.
Everyone took pictures of me and gave me compliments. I wore a yellow floor length gown which turned our to be the perfect size and color.
I was afraid that I wouldn't find the perfect dress but I did; Keri helped me find my dress and made me feel really comfortable.
(We had fun trying them out and dancing at Prom Fair)
At my prom I danced all night (well until 12) my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. I had a GREAT time with all my friends and I am
glad that I went to the prom and THE FAIRY GODMOTHER PROJECT made it as special as it was.

Here is an email that went between one of our volunteers and a young lady we helped this past weekend (April 3,2010)

"Hey Girl!,

 

I'm so glad you didn't forget to write.  I got some great pictures of you yesterday!  They are attached.

 

I had so much fun with you yesterday!  You were a joy to my heart.  I wish the best for you in your school, in your profession, and in life.   For me, Jesus is the answer to my every breath.  He directs my path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)  He can do it for you, too, if you choose to have a personal relationship with him!   (Romans  3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16)  Rely on Him, and you don't have to worry about one thing!

 

You're a beautiful young lady, and have such a bright future ahead of you.  I would love to keep up with you, and how you're doing, if you'd want to keep me in your loop.   Remember, you have a gorgeous smile....use it!!!! :)

 Like I said I was really missing my mama and I was kinda Down and Out, but you boosted my spirit and really demonstrated Christs light yesterday. I REALLY had a great time and I would LOVE to keep in contact. Honestly words cannot express what you did for my spirits yesterday and I was telling a lot of people what a blessing you were to me.

I wanted to pass this along to you as a testimonial of what you do, and the impact that Keri's Fairy Godmother has on young girls lives.  This is from Sheenika, the first girl I assisted.  God gives us a peek sometimes to let us know we're on the right track!  I had prayed so earnestly to touch just one life through my service yesterday. God is faithful! :)

 

Plus, the Lord is moving my life in a different direction, and by serving with you at Prom Fair, is an affirmation of a direction the Lord wants me to go.  It's quite exciting to see Him work!
